Several activities are organised by Alcan't in India around Alcan's 2005 AGM. A
panel discussion on the relationship between mining and violence, a public event with the participation of Prof. Vandana Shiva, as well as a successful People's Assembly and shareholder activism at the AGM in Montreal. Several movie screenings punctuate the whole month of April, where the documentaries "From Kalinga to Kashipur", "UAIL Go Back" and "Alcan't in India" are shown to a receptive public.

December 16, 2004
Second Montreal Commemoration of the killing of Damodar, Raghunath and Avhilash Jhodia, on that day in 2000. A demonstration at Alcan headquarters, supported by a phone and fax-jam campaign, bring more attention to Alcan's business in India.
