Mr. Hanley,

As we have made clear in previous communications, your
inability to substantiate your position thus far on
the Utkal case is not allowing for constructive
dialogue and is leading to the impression that your
corporation is in fact deceiving international civil
society, your investors and most importantly the
people of Kashipur.

Please find attached a letter expanding on the Alcan't
in India position regarding this matter.

We have CC'd this message and letter (also in print)
to your CEO Travis Engen, since it is clear that this
is issue is no longer simply a consultative or
technical matter for the Bauxite and Alumnia division.
Your position on this matter has direct consequences
on Alcan's entire public image.

Mr. Sud,

Your note hereunder and the letter attached thereto have been addressed
via a separate email and letter from myself, which have been sent to you
earlier today.

A number of other members of your group have sent very similar
notes/emails to Mr. Engen. Mr. Engen and I have discussed these, and they will all
individually be addressed by an email from Mr Engen, which will
essentially refer them to my letter to you (as coordinator) dated today.
